Well somehow it has gotten very cold here. You would think living in the desert of Arizona means we're hot year round, but that isn't the case. We had our first winter freeze warning yesterday. Temp dropped down to 32 degrees, which is nothing for some people, but for people that live here in Arizona where he can get up to 120 degrees in the summer months, a drop down to 32 is cold. It didn't even go above 60 degrees today, and my hands are even cold. When my hands get cold, it gets hard to type a bit, but I can't wear gloves, so I just deal with it. Right now my weather bug tells me that it is 58 degrees outside. BRRRRR!
For the past month, I've been trying to find out from Best Buy how much it would cost me to renew the warranty of my desktop computer. Can't believe it's been three years since I bought it, but it has. I'm not ready for a new one. I figure I have a year or two left on this one, and then I'll look into an upgrade. I'm also pondering buying a laptop as a secondary system once things get more situated pay wise. After a month long run around with my trying to call them, and the people there telling me story after story about why they can't give me a quote for the renewal I was finally given one today. They were supposed to call me back last week with it, but they didn't.
Well, I'm telling you right now the price is outrageous. It is almost a third more than what I paid for my plan when I bought the computer, and now they won't do in home service. I'll need to take the computer in. Plus, they only offer a two-year or a three-year plan. The three-year plan is almost double what I paid for my original three-year plan. I'll pay it. Just because if this computer dies on me again like it did a year ago, it'll be covered another couple of years, but I'm still not happy with the cost.
Good news is that sometime in the near future, I'll be jumping onto high speed. I've looked into things, and I think we'll be going to look at modems and services in the next few days. I'm hoping to get the service installed sometime before Christmas, but it might be sooner than that. I really can't wait for that. I've got some writing thoughts bouncing in my head at the moment, but I'll leave those for later. My hands are cold, and I have some television to watch. Fans of Grey's Anatomy check for my review of last night's show up on my review site. I'll have one up in a few hours for tonight's episode of Surface!

The warranty's really expensive, esp. if your system's old because they're afraid that they may ahve to fix and/or replace it. :(
I got mine extended for 3 years, but I don't plan to renew it once it's up. I'm just gonna get a new system from Toshiba.
It is fact that warranty is very expensive. I also use system from Toshiba, and I'm satisfied.
